Lifting a Prerequisite Hold

As a transfer student, you may have taken courses elsewhere that are prerequisites for a course here. Until your transfer credit evaluation (TCE) is complete, you may find a prerequisite hold placed on your academic plan, which means you will not be able to register for the course which has the prerequisite.

In this case, email the TCE team at [email protected] and ask for an unofficial record check. If the prerequisite course is found on your transcripts, the hold will be lifted.

Non-Degree-Seeking Students

If you are a non-degree-seeking student and did not submit a TCE form to transfer credits, email the Registrar’s office at [email protected] with your request to remove the prerequisite hold. You will still need to submit previous transcripts to show proof that you have taken the prerequisite course at another university.
